The most unprofessional staff and unwillingness to part with local knowledge without paying them. My trip to the centre at lightning ridge was unrewarding and the staff seemed more interested in underhand payments, very very disappointing for an info centre. The petrol station parted with more info.If you are not familiar with LR, do your research prior to arriving. Ps, not many places in town with mobile data reception...get ur info at home.

I dropped in here as soon as I arrived in town, and thankfully so... The lady at the desk advised me of the best places for sunset shots, and her local knowledge paid in spades

It's an information centre. The people are helpful and friendly.Spend some time in the pile beside it as they tell us they are always refreshing it so you have a good chance of finding some cool little pieces of colour.
