Lightning Ridge is a typical mining town which has the minimal services but Khan's has been able to cover everybody's needs in one store. There is a chain of these stores around inland aus that are quite successful in meeting the needs of the locals.
Great shop with good stock most of the time, they honour all the weekly IGA Specials , which are the same price as nationwide. They do not always have all the specials in stock so best to Shop , Tuesday , Thursday and Saturday as those 3 days are when stock trucks arrive. Staff are helpful and friendly , just ask nice and you get a good response , The Meats , Fruit and Vegetables are top quality although these 3 items are a little more expensive than the big city supermarkets at least the quality is there. This is an honest review unlike a couple of deceiving , negative reviews that have been posted.
