Great tour of Lightening Ridge fascinating place
The Bottle House Museum is an iconic destination when visiting Lightning Ridge. It presents a wonderful folksy impression of the "good old days" when laconic and digger hung together like opal ear rings. See the bottle dog kennel with a cement cat caste inside. It's a walk through a world filled with the rich life and relics of that life. The objects are real but the placement is more romantic rather than real. That's what creates the magic fantasy. In reality there are real bottle houses that are inhabited by miners and their families. If reality is what you seek, knock on those doors. Otherwise settle for the romantic presentation of a folksy collection.
Girl behind counter was very friendly. Lots of old relics and artifacts. Bottle house itself was interesting.
A very unique building, with walls made from beer and wine bottles. Interesting old bits and pieces of once upon time everyday items.
The house itself is amazing and worth seeing. The display inside.... youre not missing much. Therere no labels or instructions or guide who tell you about everything, just a bunch of bottles. Entry is a bit overpriced.
