A wonderful bush experience replete with flies and kangaroos. The area is flat as a pancake. Access is by a well maintained dirt road. The road from Lighting Ridge is sealed and almost makes it to the Lorne Station turn off. There are various tent sites as advertised on the car door announcing the entry of the locale. All in all, a great place to visit to get right into the feeling of being in the outback desert as well as an opal field. The sense is one of total solace, quiet and at one with nature.

This is an old sheep station with near original facilities. If you need the latest mod-cons this is not the place for you. If you are looking for something a little different from the same old same old in other parks and a bit of a look back in time then this is a great place.
Rough rutted road to the point that our left hand side panel indicator light vibrated out. The pin on the L.arm of my sunglasses fell out not to be seen again . So we left without staying as the sky was threatening rain and I felt that we would never get out if it rained. You need a 4 wheel drive towing an off rd caravan to even consider it !
Great place to stay if you like bush camping amenitiez are old but very clean. Beautiful view of the stars at night.
